After purchasing this camcorder through Amazon.com back in November 2009, I found the same item being sold for much cheaper at other online stores (I bought it for just over $200 and have now seen it for as low as $175).
The camcorder I originally purchased was to have 60 frames per second (fps) with a still picture capture at 8.0 mega pixels. What was delivered has 30 fps and 12.0 mega pixels. I purchased the camcorder specifically for its motion picture capabilities, not still captures. I am a little disappointed.
The camera has a function called stabilizer, though it does not work with recordings higher than 720p leaving 1080p recordings very unstable and shaky, something that, in my mind, destroys the value of recording... Read more
